Bought them for my 84-year old father who suffers with severe shaking in his hands. Wish the colors were available in more "subdued" options - still feels like he's using a "kiddie" cup - which he is, but the use of these cups could go beyond kids. They are excellent for him - no more spills or needing help just to get a drink!!! Great for independence and not feeling embarassed asking for help for such a basic thing.

Two suggestions for contigo - more non-"kid" color options and a little sturdier plastic like the water bottles - current plastic a little flimsy. Could definitely market these for people with disabilities especially if they had more "adult" look options. It's a great alternative to a "sippy" cup for adults with dexterity challenges.

My son loves these "push-in" cups, they don't require sucking, yet if he drops it, no leaks. Great transition from the sippy - but without the mess! Great for car trips.

I just received my 2 pack of Contigo Autoseal Kids 14 oz. Trekker Cups. I took them out of the box, washed them, and wrote my kids name on them w/ a Sharpie (for daycare). I did not even think to test them out b/f doing all of this b/c all of the reviews so far for this product are 5 stars. So afterward I put chocolate milk in the purple cup for my daughter who was excited to use her new cup, and I showed her how to press the "autoseal button" and sip. I gave her the cup, and watched her follow the very simple instructions just fine. BUT then, seconds later, I watched her turn it up and gulp w/o even pushing the button. I took the cup and turned it upside down over the sink and chocolate milk just poured right out of the spout that looks completely closed. I took the top off, screwed it back on, tried again. Still leaks. So much for "100-Percent spill and leak proof kids cup" in descpription of this item. I then tested the blue cup in the pack, and it worked as advertised. Even when... Read more

Good price, quick delivery, excellent condition, very functional, useful, sanitary and easy to clean and maintain. Just started the home breadmaking thing - and this bread keeper is a must-have if you intend to do the same. It may seem a little counter-intuitive to actually have an adjustment to let air into the storage space (although you can still close it 100% off), but believe it or not it's actually the humidity balance that will optimize the freshness of your home-baked bread (assuming you're not putting preservatives into your mix!). The adjustability is very useful. I would highly recommend this to anyone purchasing a home bread making machine. It's probably very useful for optimizing the storage of store-bought baked goods as well.

Stop trying to jam that 2 lb. fresh (bread machine) loaf of bread in a plastic bag. For some reason, grocery stores do not carry boxes of plastic bags that are large enough to store these 2 lb. loafs. I've tried for months. Finally I found this and the plastic bags are history. Good for me and good for the environment too. This is a great product. I'm glad I found it and bought it. You won't regret having this on hand to store that wonderful loaf of bread fresh from the bread machine or oven.

I bake lots of bread, I usually store my bread in ziploc bags. I wanted to have something that I could re-use. The bread box is good for storing bread, but I found that the bread does mold quicker in the bread box than it does in the ziploc bags.

I saw this steamer in an ad in Runner's World and just had to have it. Since going on the South Beach Diet, I've upped my intake of eggs, fish, chicken, and vegetables tremendously. And because I live an extremely active lifestyle, I never have time to wait for things to thaw before cooking. I was defrosting frozen meat and nuking scrambled eggs and frozen vegetables in the microwave everyday when I did some reading and found out that microwaving destroys over 90% of the healthy vitamins and nutrients in foods. Researchers have found that steaming is the best way to preserve nutrients if you have to cook a food.

This steamer gets the job done better than I'd ever hoped. While it does take a little longer to cook with steam than in the microwave or on the stovetop (add 5-15 minutes of cook time), it is a more hassle-free way to prepare food. This product would have been one step up from the previous generation of Oster steamers if it weren't for two major flaws.

Good:

-it's inexpensive
-the electronic timer works really well (this was the new upgrade from previous models)
-it's versatile especially for Asian cooking
-it works really fast

Bad:

- MOLD the steamer's water inlet, that also serves to help you measure how much water is in the steamer, is a great way to collect mold. Currently it is nearly impossible to dry this inlet completely without pushing a qtip or tissue through; and no, turning it upside down doesn't help since the inlet's curves are designed to keep water in. Cleaning this part is also near impossible for the same reason. This is just really stupid. Oster should spend more time testing their products. This should have been fixed before being released.

The Oster 5712 Food Steamer is an excellent buy. Yes, it is large but well worth it's size for a family of 5 vegetable lovers. It has all the features I wanted, such as; water level indicator, two steaming containers, and a timer. It also keeps the food warm after the steaming of the food is complete.I have used this product many times since it arrived. I have prepared complete meals at once. The clean-up is very easy and much less mess in the kitchen. No pots no pans. I have no complaints. I am very pleased with this product. It is stylish enough to place on the counter. I would most definitly recommend the 5712.
